We develop, own,

and operate clean

fuel infrastructure

Across the globe, industrial operators face tightening emissions rules, complex compliance, and the risk of volatile or insecure fuel supply that makes development cost-prohibitive. Elemental Clean Fuels develops the low-carbon fuel projects that answer those pressures. We have the capital to fund them, the experience to execute them, and the commitment to operate them for the long term.

Find your solution

Lack of ambition does not slow down clean fuels projects. The main problems are not having enough funding at the right stage, partners who cannot execute, and finding a team with the precise mix of experience in the clean fuels market.

ECF removes those obstacles.

We are experts in every step of the process. We are committed from the very beginning, and we partner with developers who need a capable co-developer on their side. No matter the origins, we design projects that secure financing and get built, and then we take the reins and operate them. We are long-term owners and operators, not developers who simply hand things off.

What we solve

Find the reliable, cost-competitive solution for your industry

For maritime

low-carbon fuels like e-methanol and biomethanol, produced in stable jurisdictions and delivered for bunkering at scale.

For aviation

low-carbon fuels like e-SAF and bioSAF, produced in stable jurisdictions and delivered for uplifting at scale.

For utilities

renewable natural gas and low carbon intensity supply that meets compliance and emissions obligations.

For industrial operators

practical decarbonization tied to a real driver, whether a mandate, an incentive, a supply risk, or a cost.

For data centers and emerging demand

clean power and low-carbon gas engineered for the resilience these operations require.

What you get with ECF

We own and operate what we build.

There is a big difference between a project that is announced and one that starts construction. ECF builds, owns, and operates for the long term, so our incentives are tied to yours for the life of the asset, not the length of a deal. We don’t get paid unless the project performs. If something is needed, you call us and we answer.

Discipline harnessed.

We run a disciplined development process and we don’t skip steps. A bankable project needs proven technology, credible contractors, and investment-grade counterparties. Experience is knowing where you can’t take shortcuts, and where projects might run into roadblocks. We’ve built enough to know how to succeed in every step of the process.

Capital you can count on.

Once a project is permitted and contracted, financing is more straightforward. The hard money is what comes before that: the development capital to secure land, engineer the design, and de-risk the opportunity. Backed by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, we bring that capital. It means we move on the right projects without pressure, and our customers and partners are never asked to fund the path to a final investment decision.

Built around your problem, not our preferred technology.

We’re technology-agnostic. We start with the constraint in front of a customer, whether a feedstock, a power need, or an emissions target, and engineer the solution that gets financing, gets built, and performs.

We earn the right to develop.

Many projects in Canada touch the ancestral lands of Indigenous peoples. For those projects, the relationship with the community is not taken lightly; it is the foundation of our operations. ECF engages early, with honesty and genuine respect for each nation’s governance and priorities. This results in projects that move with the support of the people who matter the most to their long-term success.

Kamloops

On the site of the Kruger Pulp Mill in Kamloops, British Columbia, Elemental Clean Fuels is developing a green hydrogen facility to supply the mill's own operations. Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) holds 50.1 percent ownership of the project, a partnership structured for shared value since its inception.

Prince Rupert

On Watson Island, in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Elemental Clean Fuels is developing the first waterborne biomethanol and bioSAF project. The site once ran the Skeena Pulp Mill and now produces clean fuel for the marine and aviation industries and export markets beyond its coastline.

Backing

ECF is backed by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, a specialist investor in energy-transition infrastructure with billions deployed. Their support gives ECF capital at the stage it's hardest to find, and a partner who understands how these projects are actually built. Their backing is the foundation. The execution is ours.

Safety

Safety is non-negotiable. For everything we develop and operate, it is our highest priority. It is the standard we hold for every team and contractor we work with, and the communities we work near.

Our people

Behind the capital and engineering is a team of people who are passionate about the work and the folks they work with. We do business the way we build projects: directly, honestly, and in person. You know who you’re working with, and we will be here for the long haul.

The customers and communities we partner with tell us the difference is real. We pick up the phone. We follow through. We treat a partnership as what it is, a relationship between people.
